The singer, who hosted the MTV EMAs in Berlin last week, revealed that she is returning to the US to resume work on the follow-up to 2008's One Of The Boys.
"My album is very premature, it's in the beginning stages but it's exciting to be back in the studio again," she told the Daily Star.
"I'm heading to Las Vegas to hook up with The Dream and Tricky Stewart, who wrote 'Single Ladies' [for Beyoncé] and 'Umbrella' for Rihanna.
"It will be interesting to mash it up together to hopefully find an amazing new happy medium."
Perry, who is also planning to collaborate with Calvin Harris, admitted that she is a big fan of 'Single Ladies'.
"It has a great level of sass and fun. Everybody wants to sing that kinda anthem," she said.
Perry releases her live album and DVD MTV: Unplugged on November 17.
