Heidi Range has admitted that she feels frustrated over the reaction to her recent comments about her contribution to Sugababes.
Last week, the 26-year-old singer was quoted as saying that the group were not successful until she joined for second album Angels With Dirty Faces in 2001.
Range had spoken out following claims that Sugababes should start using a different name following the departure of Keisha Buchanan, who was the last remaining original member.
The star is now quoted by Metro as saying: "I've been looking forward to just relaxing with my mates for ages - there's just been so much gossip in the papers and so much of it's wrong, it just really gets you down.
"Even [my latest comments] have been blown out of proportion and the papers are making out that I'm this big head - you can't win."
Speaking at a celebrity event in London, Range's partner Dave Berry added: "I don't know how Heidi puts up with everything. She's a lot stronger than I'd be in her position."
