Robbie Williams is on course to top the charts with new album Reality Killed The Video Star, despite initial sales figures showing JLS's self-titled debut in the lead.

According to Music Week, registration issues at the Official Charts Company resulted in some of Williams's album sales not being counted.

The 'Bodies' singer, who lost out to Alexandra Burke's 'Bad Boys' in the singles countdown last month, is currently beating JLS by a "handful of sales".

The two acts are ahead of Snow Patrol's greatest hits Up To Now and Biffy Clyro's Only Revolutions, which are in third and fourth place respectively.

Cheryl Cole debut solo album 3 Words, which has spent the past two weeks at the top, is currently at No. 7.
