Tyler: 'I'm not quitting Aerosmith'

Steven Tyler has insisted that he is not leaving Aerosmith to launch a solo career.

The singer made a surprise appearance on stage at bandmate Joe Perry's solo gig in New York last night to refute claims he quit the group.

"I just want New York to know, I am not leaving Aerosmith," NME quotes him as saying.

Tyler then turned to Perry and added: "Joe Perry, you are a man of many colours but I, motherf***er, am the rainbow!"

The pair reportedly performed Aerosmith's 1975 hit 'Walk This Way' toghether and ended the show arm in arm.
