The London drum 'n' bass producers teamed up with rapper Plan B for the track, which is included on the soundtrack to movie Harry Brown.
"We were totally shocked and over the moon, we never thought the song would do anything really," Saul Milton told DS.
"It's a fantastic achievement and such a great accolade to achieve in such a short space of time."
The duo, made up of Milton and Will Kennard, claimed that the song doesn't reflect the direction of their next album, expected to be released in the first half of next year.
"The song was made as the soundtrack to the movie so isn't really a representation of the album," Milton added.
"We haven't really crafted how the next album will sound, but I'm sure we will work with Plan B, but we don't like to repeat stuff that we've already done."
Chase & Status released debut album More Than Alot in October 2008.
