His hit 'Fireflies' first reached No.1 a fortnight ago, only to be replaced by Jason Derulo's 'Whatcha Say' last week, but returns to the top spot today.
Jay-Z and Alicia Keys climb to a new peak of two with 'Empire State of Mind', while 'Whatcha Say' slips to three.
Meanwhile, Iyaz - a reggae/R&B singer who hails from the British Virgin Islands - climbs from 12 to four with debut single 'Replay'.
Rihanna also makes a significant leap this week, climbing from 75 to nine with 'Russian Roulette' to notch up her 12th US top ten hit.
Notable gains outside the top ten come from David Guetta and Akon, who jump from 18 to 12 with 'Sexy Bitch', and Ke$ha, who advances from 16 to 14 with 'TiK ToK'.
