The 'About A Girl' group delayed the record until next year after Amelle Berrabah was diagnosed with nervous exhaustion and forced to take a break from the band last month.
"Amelle had a bit of time off and we didn't want to rush it. We hadn't done any promotion," singer Heidi Range told GMTV.
"We just want our fans to hear what's on the album before we release it. This way we get to do gigs and show people what's on there. We just didn't want to waste it and show people what it's about."
The album includes songs produced by RedOne, Stargate, The Smeezingtons, Ne-Yo and a collaboration with Sean Kingston.
Sweet 7 is currently scheduled for release on March 10.
