Elton John cancels another concert

Elton John has been forced to cancel another concert due to illness.

The singer was due to team up with Billy Joel for a gig in California last night, but doctors insisted that it was too soon for the 62-year-old, who has had a severe bout of E.coli and flu recently.

A source told the News of the World: "They said he should take it easy as a precaution."

However, the star is apparently determined to attend a fundraising gala in New York for the Elton John Aids Foundation tomorrow.

The source said: "It's an annual event and Elton never misses it. He has been resting at home and is due to fly to New York today."

Last month, the singer postponed the final date of his world tour at Dublin's O2 arena.
