The group, who teamed up with producer Mark Ronson for the record, admitted that they have been suffering from writers' block.
"A three-day session in the studio with Cathy seems to have done the trick for me," singer Simon Le Bon told the Daily Star.
"Yes, she is celebrated for her work with Kylie Minogue and Katy Perry, and no, you won't hear me singing that 'I kissed a boy and I liked it', even if in the past I have and I did."
Dennis has penned further chart-topping singles including S Club 7's 'Never Had A Dream Come True', Britney Spears's 'Toxic' and Sugababes' 'About You Now'.
Duran Duran have released 13 studio albums since 1981, including chart-topper Seven And The Ragged Tiger. Their last LP Red Carpet Massacre was released in November 2007.
