Jackson: 'I want La Roux to f**k off'

La Roux singer Elly Jackson has admitted that she has grown tired of talking about herself.

The 'In For The Kill' star, who formed La Roux with producer Ben Langmaid in 2006, revealed that she is going on a family holiday to get away from the group.

"I'm going to go far, far away, for three weeks with my family," she told You magazine.

"When I go away I'm going to try not to think about La Roux because it's become this thing where you meet up with your friends to have a normal evening and all you talk about is La Roux. I actually just want La Roux to f**k off!"

The 21-year-old, who is the daughter of The Bill actress Trudie Goodwin, insisted she is more reserved in real life than her stage persona suggests.

"People forget that it's a character. There's definitely a stage La Roux look which is a lot more glam, a lot more shiny, a lot more big eyes, angular shapes, big jackets," she said.

"I think it's important that people see that other side of me - so they don't go, 'Aargh! she's this scary, androgynous performer'. People are scared of that now and they just go, 'Oh, she looks like a bitch'. I'm not!'"

La Roux release new single 'Quicksand' on November 23.
