The record, which shifted over 200,000 copies in just one week, was issued with four different coloured individual covers of the band members and one group shot.
"I'm sure some die-hard fans bought all five versions," Marvin Humes told the Daily Star.
"But then there will be some that could not afford them all so they just got their favourite member."
The group admitted that they think band member Aston Merrygold's cover will have sold the most copies.
"He has sold the most hoodies and T-shirts so I'm betting the blue copies with Aston sold out the most because he's a young, cute stud," Humes said.
"We do take the mickey out of him but I'm sure he's very popular with the fans."
According to midweek sales figures, Leona Lewis is on course to topple JLS from the top spot on Sunday with her new album Echo.
