Little Boots: 'Being a popstar is weird'
Published Thursday, Nov 19 2009, 12:22 GMT | By David Balls

The 'Earthquake' singer, who topped the BBC Sound of 2009 poll earlier this year, admitted that she is more interested in making music for her fans.
"I don't really think of myself as a popstar. The album went gold a couple of months ago and that was nice that at least 100,000 people have my record," she told 4Music.
"That's kind of an amazing feeling because all I ever wanted to do was make music for people and to think that that many people have the CD in their house feels amazing. But I still find the word 'popstar' a bit weird."
The 25-year-old added that she was overwhelmed with the reception she received on her recent US tour.
"The whole tour sold out, which was amazing. It was only a small tour but it was definitely encouraging. Just the reaction was great, everyone loved it. Everyone knew the words, even to obscure album tracks, so it was really nice," she said.
Little Boots released 'Earthquake' on Monday.
