The singer, who recently walked off stage at a performance in Liverpool after being hit on the head with a plastic bottle, reportedly took offence to the fan's heckling.
NME says that Morrissey was joking to the audience that "hamburgers" should be called "hamburgists" when the supporter shouted "f**k you" at him.
The former Smiths star then pointed to the man before speaking to him through his microphone, saying: "Go. We don't need you, we don't need you... And you can f**k yourself."
Following the incident, Morrissey is believed to have walked away from the front rows of the audience to shake hands with those at the side of the stage, prior to resuming the show.
