The 'Oopsy Daisy' rapper, who cancelled all promotion after posting a suicide threat on Twitter, admitted that he is now focusing on his personal life.
"When you're doing music and pursuing your dreams sometimes it can get a bit much. It's been a difficult two years for me but I'm in good health," he told BBC Newsbeat.
"[I've] eased off the internet access at the minute. I am focusing on my personal life and my music."
The 18-year-old, real name Jamal Fyffe, added that he is excited about preparing for his upcoming tour.
"We've got about 14 dates starting from February 12," he said. "It's going to be massive, live bands and all that. We're going to make it something really special."
Chipmunk released his debut album I Am Chipmunk last month.
