The singer, who was ousted from the 'About You Now' group in September, has been working on her own material in the studio and confirmed that she wants to team up with Buena again.
"I'll hopefully be working with Mutya on my album! Let's see if I can get her attention for 3 seconds first lol She's a busy bee (sic)," she wrote on Twitter.
Buchanan revealed that she is making good progress on the album and has been recording in the studio throughout the night.
"The last time I finished a studio session at 6am was when i was 14," she wrote. "Back in the studio again at 2pm:-D.
"It's coming along great. I'm keeping it all private... My label hasn't heard 1 thing lol Im happy."
Last week, Buchanan denied speculation that she would reform with original Sugababes Buena and Siobhan Donaghy.
