The 'Left My Heart In Tokyo' duo, made up of Frankee Connolly and Britt Love, claimed that there is currently too much competition with X Factor acts.
"Our album has been finished for a while but it won't come out until after Christmas now," Frankee Connolly told the Daily Star.
"There's too much competition for new bands around Christmas, especially with The X Factor about. It will now be out early 2010, so we have more time to get ready."
The pair, who were formed by production house Xenomania, added that their new single 'I Wish' showed a different style to them.
"It's not as upbeat as our first single because we want a different feel for each song," Love said.
"It's about reminiscing over an old relationship wishing you'd tried harder because what you had was good."
Mini Viva release 'I Wish' on December 14.
