The group insisted that McFadden could never rejoin them, but admitted that they have not ruled out a one-off performance with the singer.
"We'd never allow him, I don't think. I mean, he left the band for a reason. But if we got paid enough, we'd do something with him," Kian Egan told More.
"Brian is still a friend, we don't see him often but realistically he'll never be in the band again. But we'll not rule out singing with him. You can't rule out stuff like that because you never know," Mark Feehily added.
McFadden quit the band in 2004 and currently lives in Australia with girlfriend Delta Goodrem.
The group, who were formed by Louis Walsh in 1998, claimed that they are unsure how long they will continue making music.
"How long will we go on for? Ten years is a possibility, but 20 years - that's a f**king long way away. We'll be 50," Shane Filan said.
Westlife release new album Where We Are on November 30.
