The singer claimed that Spears rejected the song last year, with GaGa later recording it as a collaboration with Beyoncé for her new album The Fame Monster.
"I wrote it for her a long time ago and she just didn't use it for her album - it's fine because I love the song and I get to perform it now," she told E! Online.
GaGa released The Fame Monster on Monday.
