According to Billboard, early figures indicate that Boyle will outsell first week sales of Eminem's Relapse, which shifted 608,000 units in its first seven days.
Record label Sony Music Entertainment are reportedly struggling to keep up with demand for the record and many stores are on the verge of running out of stock.
Efforts to distribute further copies are allegedly being hampered by the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Music retailer QVC revealed that it had pre-orders of more than 81,000 units for the Boyle album.
Meanwhile, Adam Lambert's debut For Your Entertainment is also outperforming sales expectations. Despite controversy surrounding his performance at the American Music Awards, his album is expected to shift 225,000 this week.
Lady GaGa's combined sales of The Fame and The Fame Monster deluxe edition are predicted to sell 150,000 units, while The Fame Monster EP is on course to top 200,000 sales.
According to midweek sales, Boyle is on course to have the fastest-selling album of the year in Britain.
