The Australian Recording Industry Association awards ceremony, which celebrates the best musical acts across the country, featured winners such as Jessica Mauboy, Empire of the Sun, Sarah Blasko and Ladyhawke.
Empire of the Sun duo Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore won four awards, including 'Album of the Year' and 'Single of the Year'.
After accepting one of the gongs, Steele said: "I'm here representing Empire. Obviously Nick's disappeared, he's overseas, so tonight he's invisible Nick. Cheers for me, eh!"
Daniel Merriweather won the 'Best Male Artist' award, while Sarah Blasko was crowned the 'Best Female Artist', saying: "I'm really happy... I always knew I was the best female."
