The Australian singer, who was named 'Best Male Artist' at last night's ARIA awards ceremony, said that he has lots of good 'man skills' besides being a talented musician.
Merriweather told the AAP backstage: "I'm pretty good at sex. I guess that's a pretty good man skill. And I shave pretty well. I find I have perfected those skills."
The Melbourne-born musician added: "I have been working on my music for the good part of 10 years now, and it's amazing to come back to Australia and be able to do it back here."
Merriweather beat Josh Pyke, Bob Evans, CW Stoneking and Paul Dempsey to win the award.
