The former X Factor star announced that he has been invited to sing with the star on I Dreamed A Dream - The Susan Boyle Story, which airs on December 13.
"I love SuBo, she's kindly asked me to perform on her TV special, which is going to be huge," he told Digital Spy.
"I'm not surprised about her success. As soon as she had that YouTube clip which spread across the world and was huge in America, I thought she was going to be massive when her album comes out."
The singer, who came second on The X Factor in 2007, went on to praise the quality of Boyle's voice.
"All credit to her, there's a lot of pressure on her shoulders, there really is. She hasn't had formal training or anything. It was a long shot for her, I don't think she expected to get through," he said.
"She has a lovely tone to her voice, it's very musical theatre. The sound is that of a much younger female voice, she's obviously had influence from great West End singers like Ruthie Henshall. It's no bad thing, you can hear a lovely tone to the sound."
Rhydian releases his second album O Fortuna on November 30.
