The 21-year-old, who will release her album Dance Love Pop on December 7, admitted that she would still prefer to be recognised in her own right.
"I think she's very beautiful and her voice is amazing, so I'm okay with that!" she told DS.
"Of course I want to be my own person and, for me, we're very different. I don't think we look that similar and we do a totally different type of music."
The 'Release Me' star, who won Swedish Idol in 2005, praised Lewis for the ballads that she has so far recorded.
"She does a lot of ballads, but she's very, very good at them. I think you should do the music you're happy doing. I heard her new album and I thought it was good."
