Marina announces album release details

Marina and the Diamonds - a.k.a. singer-songwriter Marina Diamandis - has announced the release details for her debut album.

The Family Jewels will be available on 679/Atlantic Records from February 12. It will be preceded by new single 'Hollywood' on February 1.

"I am really proud to finally release my debut album, The Family Jewels," said Diamandis. "It is a body of work largely inspired by the seduction of commercialism, modern social values, family and female sexuality.

"Each song was intricately produced and written by myself and my only hope is for it to be enjoyed and consumed as a story and theory that encourages people to question themselves."

The album has been co-produced by Kylie and Spice Girls collaborator Richard 'Biff' Stannard, former Sneaker Pimp Liam Howe and Ladyhawke associate Pascal Gabriel.

It will feature 12 tracks including recent single 'Mowgli's Road' and fan favourites 'I Am Not A Robot' and 'Obsessions'.
