Lady GaGa has revealed that she was urged by her record label to show more flesh in photoshoots when she started out in the music industry.
The 'Bad Romance' star admitted that she had a series of rows with label bosses because she did not want to sell her songs by using sex.
"My album covers are not sexual at all, which was an issue at my record label," GaGa told Elle.
"I fought for months, and I cried at meetings. They didn't think the photos were commercial enough."
The 23-year-old added: "The last thing a young woman needs is another picture of a sexy popstar writhing in sand, covered in grease, touching herself."
