The 'That's Not My Name' duo, who are up for best new artist, have said that they are "delighted" about their nomination and excited about attending the 2010 event, Angry Ape reports.
Singer Katie White said: "We are delighted about being nominated for a Grammy. All that hard touring of the USA did us proud. Thanks to everyone that came to see us and supported us."
As for how the indie-pop duo heard the news about their nomination, White added: "We got the news at 5am this morning as we got up to take a flight from Berlin to LA for some more shows out there.
"We got into our driver's car in a daze of gobsmacked-ness and forgot to take our bags to the airport, so we ended up missing our flight."
The Ting Tings are currently in the studio working on their second album, which is due for release next year.
