The Australian singer, who cancelled her Christmas carols performance on Friday night citing medical reasons, was due to appear alongside fiancé Brian McFadden at the Qatar Airways black tie launch in Melbourne.
The 25-year-old told organisers of her Sydney concert on Friday that she was unable to travel to Australia from the US after suffering from an "allergic reaction to medication taken for a cold".
Qatar Airways spokesperson Evan Petrelis told News.com.au: "As soon as we knew about it, we went about making alternative arrangements." It is believed that Tina Arena has now been booked to fill Goodrem's slot.
Goodrem's Christmas Carols and Hits show at Sydney Opera House has been rescheduled for Christmas Eve.
