The frontman told The Observer that he enjoyed performing with his bandmates Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree.
Albarn said: "Bit by bit we got back to the level where we had been in our prime. Where it was stadiums and everybody singing and very euphoric.
"And then after the last gig in Scotland, I got on the train and left it all behind. That's it, I haven't thought about it since."
He added: "For me, it was so nice to do that again and to know that I had left on a good note with Graham, Alex and Dave, but I didn't come off stage thinking, 'I'm a rock star!' at all. I really didn't.
"It was really strange. I loved every second of it and I felt the songs had lasted and there had - kind of, in a way - been a vision of Britain as it is now... but then when it had finished it was like, we've all got to get on with our lives now."
Earlier this year, grime artist Kano suggested that Albarn was too busy with the next Gorillaz album to consider recording any new material with Blur.
