Frontman Liam Fray revealed on Radio 1 that the album, the follow-up to the Manchester band's 2007 debut St Jude, is due for release in February.
Yesterday, the group released a new track titled 'Cross My Heart & Hope To Fly' as a free download from their website.
The Courteeners will headline Manchester Central on December 11, before beginning a UK tour next March.
