Mini Viva happy with Vengaboys comparisons

Fans on internet forums noted a slight melodic similarity between 'Boom Boom Boom Boom', a No.1 hit for the Eurodance stars in 1999, and new Viva single 'I Wish'.
When asked whether she could hear the resemblance, group member Frankee Connolly told DS: "The 'ooah-wooah' bits, I can hear it! Vengaboys were always cool to me so there's nothing wrong with that!"
However, her bandmate Britt Love claimed that despite the similarity, there is nothing '90s-sounding about their song.
"We're coming into 2010 now though and I think 'I Wish' is very 2010, even if bits of it do sound like Vengaboys!" she said.
The duo also revealed that they are hoping to match the success of debut single 'Left My Heart In Tokyo' when 'I Wish' comes out on Monday.
"We'd love another top ten but we're not going to get any ideas in our head, because if we don't get it we'll be incredibly disappointed," Connolly added. "You know, we just want the fans to love it as much as 'Tokyo'."
