William Hill cut its odds on 'Killing In The Name' from 3/1 to 5/4, following one of the biggest Christmas chart responses in its history. Earlier in the month, it listed the single at a lowly 100/1.
In addition, Joe McElderry's chances have been lengthened to 4/7 from 1/5.
Spokesman Rupert Adams said: "It is a straight fight between The X Factor and Rage Against The Machine, and my bosses will be in a serious rage if The X Factor does not win."
Earlier today, Ladbrokes listed 'Killing In The Name' at 8/11 on, compared to evens for McElderry's 'The Climb'.
