Marina teams up with Britney producer

The up-and-coming singer recently flew to LA to write with Blanco and Sitek, describing the team as "such a weird threesome - a combination of super pop and really indie".
Blanco has worked on hits including Britney Spears's 'Circus', Ke$ha's 'TiK ToK' and Katy Perry's 'I Kissed A Girl', while Sitek, guitarist in New York indie band TV On The Radio, has produced albums by Foals, Scarlett Johansson and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
However, Marina - real name Marina Diamandis - revealed that the songs they write together will not be appearing on her upcoming album, The Family Jewels, because it is already finished.
"It's just a really great opportunity for me as a songwriter," she told DS. "You know, I think what Lady GaGa's done - a kind of second release as an extension of her album - is really clever.
"I hate the whole 'record your album, do your promo campaign, have a year off to write another album' pattern. As an artist you should keep creating as much as you possibly can."
Marina and the Diamonds releases new single 'Hollywood' on February 1, followed by her album The Family Jewels on February 15.
