Snow Patrol song 'most played of decade'

The single, taken from the group's fourth album Eyes Open, only managed to climb to number six in the UK chart, but has gone on to receieve blanket airplay across radio, TV and the internet since its release.
Take That came second with their hit single 'Shine', while Scissor Sisters' 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing' finished third in the survey, compiled by music licensing body PPL. The Feeling's 'Love It When You Call' and the Sugababes' 'About You Now' completed the top five.
Snow Patrol singer Gary Lightbody said of the track's popularity: "I think that the song has worked because it has an emotion that people can relate to."
