According to The Sun, the Girls Aloud star had hoped to produce solo material during the band's break.
However, Girls Aloud's label Polydor has allegedly turned her down, while other record companies have also refused to sign her up.
"Nadine had meetings but none of the Universal labels wanted to take her on," a source claimed. "She's tried to get a deal elsewhere but with no luck."
However, Coyle, who has been working with Guy Chambers, has allegedly signed a deal with EMI for her songwriting.
