Writing on her Twitter page, she revealed that the track will be "out early April, heading to radio early February".
It was co-written by Ellis-Bextor, dance duo the Freemasons – with whom the singer collaborated on last year's top 20 hit 'Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer)' – and Kylie hitmakers Biff Stannard and Hannah Robinson.
Explaining the song's meaning, Ellis-Bextor wrote: "[It's] about when you can't resist something you know is bad for you – a guilty pleasure, like watching Celebrity Big Brother."
She also revealed that she will shoot the single's video later this month and that she is currently in the studio "recording live strings" with singer-songwriter Ed Harcourt and French dance producer Dimitri Tikovoi.
Ellis-Bextor, who began her career as frontwoman of indie band theaudience, has released three albums since launching a solo career in 2001. During that time, she has notched up seven UK top ten hits with tracks including 'Groovejet', 'Murder On The Dancefloor' and 'Catch You'.
