Several songs from the singer's forthcoming album Raymond vs. Raymond appeared on filesharing sites in December, over two months before the record's scheduled release.
One of the tracks to surface was the Dupri-produced 'Fooling Around'.
In response to the setback, Dupri took to his blog this week to write: "Some kinda way my Usher record 'Fooling Around' got leaked. If you follow me on Twitter you know I don't condone leaking records. So basically I been down about it all night (sic)."
However, the music mogul added that he has received some encouraging feedback on the track, saying: "I guess one positive is I've been receiving messages like this, 'This record feels great. Hopefully this more what Usher does for his new album'."
Raymond vs. Raymond is Usher's sixth studio album.
