Amy Pearson dropped from record label

The singer, who is a protégée of Australian Idol judge Jay Dee Springbett, allegedly lost her contract with Sony after her single 'Butterfingers' failed to make it into the top 100 chart.
Pearson's single 'Ready To Fly' became the Australian anthem for the Beijing Olympics TV coverage but the release of her second album Aftershock has been delayed numerous times.
The musician's manager refused to comment.
Springbett recently hit headlines after he was rumoured to have been axed from his new role as a judge on the reality music show.
