The 'In For The Kill' star revealed that she wants to take a "gamble" on the follow-up to their debut album, which has sold over 400,000 copies worldwide.
"I'm certainly not going to try and make a mainstream record and I'm not going to try and make a non-mainstream record," she told BBC 6Music.
"We're going to make the record that me and Ben [Langmaid] want to make, but I have a feeling its going to be less mainstream."
Asked whether the record will incorporate disco elements, Jackson added: "Definitely - really massively. I think it's probably going to go a lot less mainstream, but it's a bit of a gamble."
Jackson previously claimed that there "will be a natural instrument or two" on the new LP.
