The pair are said to be writing material for the new Tim Burton movie Alice In Wonderland, due out in March 2010.
According to PerezHilton, the two songs created are "nothing like Blink or Fall Out Boy" because of Hoppus's "alternative" songwriting style.
"Mark understands songwriting on a completely different level. It's awesome to have a chance to sit in a room with him and watch him work out a melody," Wentz is quoted as saying.
Wentz is reportedly eager for the pair to work again together in the future, but no official plans have been confirmed.
