The celebrity blogger has teamed up with director Jamie King and music mogul Simon Fuller to create an all-male group "for the next generation".
"This is a boyband unlike any other before. ALL of the members will sing. ALL of the members will dance. Finding our talented group won't be easy, but the end result is going to be soooooooo worth it. I can hear the screaming girls already!" Hilton said.
Male singers between the age of 13 and 21 have been encouraged to submit an online video showcasing their singing and dancing before the March 3 deadline.
King has previously directed sell-out tours for artists including Madonna, Britney, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera and is currently working on Rihanna's 2010 world tour.
Fuller is the creator of the American Idol franchise and previously managed the Spice Girls.
"Now is the moment for the creation of a full-throttle, high-octane boyband! There's a huge opportunity for the next generation of performers to create spectacle, both musically and physically, with kick-ass dance moves, amazing voices and mind-blowing concert skills," King said.
