The acts will perform at the 11th annual event in Indio, CA, which takes place between April 16 and April 18.
Further artists announced include LCD Soundsystem, Faith No More, Thom Yorke, Pavement, The Specials, Vampire Weekend, Them Crooked Vultures, Phoenix, Tiësto, Deadmau5, David Guetta, MGMT and Public Image Limited.
Coachella, which draws nearly 153,000 people over its three days, was reportedly the top-grossing festival in the US in 2009, taking in over $15m (£9.2m).
Tickets are available from January 22. Three-day weekend passes start at $269 (£165).
