Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos has blasted the band's US record label for allowing McDonald's to use one of the group's tracks on its website.

The 'Can't Stop This Feeling' singer took to his Twitter page to launch a scathing tirade against Epic Records after discovering that their music is being played on LateNightMcDonalds.com.

Kapranos wrote: "This http://www.latenightmcdonalds.com/ is an example of how a band falls out with their US label. Did they think we'd approve this s**t? Dirty b**tards. Stupid arrogant motherf**ling pig-brained a**eholes. I'd rather eat a cowpat on a bun than a bloody McDonald's."

However, the star went on to praise Franz Ferdinand's UK label Domino, affirming: "Not all labels are b**tards. Domino aren't."

"I'm not really p*ssed off with McDonalds," Kapranos added. "They're just the same as any other psychopathic corporation - no more evil, no less."
