The X Factor runners-up, who supported Lemar on tour, recently teamed up with the singer to re-record his track 'What About Love?' for his greatest hits collection.
"They are known for fast songs," Lemar told the Daily Record. "This will show another side to them while breathing a bit of life into the song."
Lemar, who shot to fame after appearing on Fame Academy, said that he had given the group advice when he first met them but had been impressed by their dedication.
"The public embrace you at the beginning but forget the telly show quickly," he explained. "You've got to keep them hugging and give them good stuff and good stuff regularly.
"I told them the key is to keep your head down and work like you've never worked before. The hardest thing is getting the break, luckily for them they got it. But their work ethic is very good. They live and work music. They want to get it right and they'll go into the vocal booth 15 or 16 times to get the take that's needed to get the song right."
Lemar, who said that he is now hoping to collaborate with JLS on an original song, will release The Hits on March 1.
