The 'Mama Do' singer is in talks with Timbaland to work on new material to appeal to the American market.
"I've had a meeting with Timbaland which is really exciting. I'm busy recording new material and it seems America is going to happen in a big way," she told the Daily Star.
"While Pixie was in the LA studio, Timbaland was in the building as well. He thought her voice was incredible so asked for an introduction," a source added.
"She's on the same label as Black Eyed Peas in America so working with will.i.am is very likely.
"The only thing slowing the US campaign down is her popularity everywhere else. America want her there for two months but she's too busy with Europe, Japan and the UK."
Lott recently revealed that she has landed a role in new movie Fred.
