Joining the Australian rockers on the bill are a host of bands that include Them Crooked Vultures, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Bullet For My Valentine, Megadeth, Motörhead, Wolfmother and Volbeat.
AC/DC triggered rumours that they are due to appear at the event when they first made the announcement on their official website last month, only for the post to be taken down hours later.
Further additions to the lineup will be made over the coming weeks in the run-up to the festival, which takes place at Donington Park, Leicestershire from June 11 to June 13.
This year's event will mark Donington Park's 30th anniversary as a rock festival venue, since it was first used to host the Monsters Of Rock bash back in 1980.
