The singer, who replaced founding member Keisha Buchanan in October, claimed that their manager gave her an incorrect CD containing tracks that hadn't made the final cut of new album Sweet 7.
"I learnt the wrong album - our manager gave me the songs we weren't using," she told ITV's This Morning. "I spent ages doing it, I learnt about 20 songs and we weren't doing them!"
The 22-year-old added that she struggled to learn the entire Sugababes back catalogue and feels under pressure to meet fans' expectations.
"I found learning the new stuff easier, the old stuff was hard. I've been singing along for years, and I realised I was singing the wrong words for all that time! We do shows and the fans know the words better than you do and I worry I'll mess up!"
Sugababes release new single 'Wear My Kiss' on February 22. Their album Sweet 7 follows on March 8.
