The 65-year-old recently visited a recording studio to contribute to the fundraising project after being approached by its organiser Simon Cowell.
Robbie Williams, Take That, Mariah Carey and Kylie Minogue are among the other stars who have signed up to help Haiti's earthquake victims by joining the single's lineup.
Discussing the choice of 'Everybody Hurts' for the charity release, Stewart told the Daily Star: "I can't think of a more fitting song to convey the unimaginable tragedy that is Haiti. I hope the record sales raise a lot of money because the country certainly needs it."
Stewart also said that he is looking forward to hearing the final version and promised that it would be impressive.
