Hot Chip: 'We'd love to work with Kylie'

Hot Chip's Joe Goddard has said that he would be interested in writing a song for pop superstar Kylie Minogue.

It had been suggested that the group had initially penned 'Ready For The Floor' for Minogue, but Goddard has denied the suggestion.

He told DS of the reports: "At the beginning there was some contact. As I recall, we were going to do a session with one of her writers.

"That never really came to pass, though, because we were busy with other things and she was very busy with other things. There was a grain of truth in the beginning, but then it all snowballed into some big silly thing."

When asked if he would be interested in giving Minogue a song, he replied: "That'd be amazing - definitely! In a very practical sense, doing something like that means you don't have to do very much work!

"You write something, give it to someone, they do all the hard work, and then you get a nice fat cheque every few months!"
