Leftfield return for Rock Ness show
Leftfield will play this year's Rock Ness festival in the Scottish Highlands in their first live performance for a decade.

The duo, whose 1995 debut Leftism was named the greatest ever dance record by The Face, are joined on the bill by Chase & Status, Boys Noize, Soulwax & 2 Many DJs, The Strokes and Friendly Fires.

Festival director Jim King said: "We've been trying to get Leftfield to do some shows for years and now its actually going to happen.

"Ask any electronic bands who was an inspiration for them and Leftfield will always be listed. I was fortunate to see them live over ten years ago and if you think the Prodigy are loud then you won't know what hit you when Leftfield kick in."

Rock Ness takes place on Friday June 11 to Sunday June 13 on the shores of Loch Ness.

Leftfield's last album was 2000's Stealth Remixes, which featured reworkings of tracks from the previous year's Rhythm and Stealth.

The band are also rumoured to be playing this year's Glade Festival, after organiser Nick Ladd previously told Ravetalk: "Yes, we have already confirmed the main headliner and it's at least as big a name as last year's [Underworld]."
