Prince Michael, 12, and 11-year-old Paris Katherine took to the stage to accept their father's Lifetime Achievement Award following a special 3D performance of his track 'Earth Song'.
"We are proud to accept this award on behalf of our father. We'd like to thank God for watching over us for these past seven months and our grandma and grandpa for their love and support," said Prince.
"We would also like to thank the fans. Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him."
He continued: "Through all his songs, his message was simple. Love. We will continue to spread his message and help the world. We love you, daddy."
Paris added: "Daddy was supposed to be here and Daddy was going to perform this year [because he] couldn't perform last year. Thank you. We love you, daddy."
The 3D tribute featured Carrie Underwood, Usher, Smokey Robinson, Celine Dion and Jennifer Hudson singing 'Earth Song' while a 3D video of Jackson, taken from the documentary This Is It, was played.
